Murray and his new family.

Susi (Murray's new mom) tells us more about him...

Murray grew up in Cape Town with a high court judge and his wife, who loved him dearly and gave him a very good home and upbringing. They decided to give him up for "adoption" because they were starting to spend too much time overseas - work and also family in Australia.

Marion put us in touch and I met the judge who grilled me quite thoroughly, and a month later I picked Murray up in Cape Town and took him off to his new home in Grahamstown. His new pack is myself (a botanist) and Neil (a freshwater ecologist).

Murray lives for walks - we go twice a day even in foul weather. Our favourite places are the hills around Grahamstown but we also explore the suburbs and go to the beach quite often. He is always ready to head out and once all the signs say "walk" he does a lunatic dance, jumping in circles etc. which is quite an impressive sight to behold. He can never get enough attention and affection (surprise?). He enjoys meeting other dogs and chasing cats.
